I arrived in North Cascades National Park just three days after a Lightning Storm had started a few small wildfires. Shortly after I took this sunrise photograph, the road from Winthrop, Washington to North Cascade mountains was closed to deal with the fires.
I was unable to return to the mountains as originally planned. You can see there is some haze creeping into the scene from the left side from the fires. Even if I had been able to return, I'm sure it would have been an unshootable situation.
