White Sands National Park is a 275 square mile area of sand dunes comprised of gypsum crystals, the largest area of its kind in the world.
Sunsets there can be just phenomenal and I was fortunate to have a pretty good one. The soft curves of the sand are very peaceful and restful. I love the images of sunsets over water because of the reflections, but these white gypsum sand dunes are pretty special in their own right.
