The Swift River runs along the Kancamagus Highway in the White Mountains and is easily accessible. What surprised us was how rare it was that the trees with fall color were down close to the river like they are in the Smoky Mountains.
We kept searching and finally found one area on the river with the trees. With the large boulders in the river, it is a totally different look than it is in the Smokies.
