A Denali National Park Photography Experience

A photography expedition to Alaska is hardly complete without spending some time in Denali National Park. I have been there quite a few times, with my favorite time of year being in the Fall, which is early September. The tundra comes alive with brilliant yellow and red color and make the Park a sight to behold.

The mountain called Denali, formerly Mount McKinley, is the star of the show. It requires a clear day to see the mountain, either from inside the park or from vantage points just outside the Park. Of course, the wildlife there is incredible to watch with an abundance of moose, caribou, dall sheep and bears.

Denali National Park – Facts about this Untamed Beautiful Landscape

The United States purchased the Alaska territory from Russia in 1867 and it became the 49th state in 1959. Denali National Park is one of the main attractions for tourism (it attracts almost half a million visitors each year) and photography in Alaska.

Denali is known for having North America’s highest peak, Mr. McKinley, but is known for its diverse wildlife. Photographers travel many miles to capture pictures of Denali’s magnificent mountains and the raw beauty of its wildlife….such as grizzly bears, the imposing Bull Moose, and majestic eagles.
