Experienced In Alaska Photography

Alaska was one of the first places I went to back when I was photographing bears and other wildlife. I was immediately stricken by the mountain scenes and knew I would have to also spend time there photographing landscapes. I have returned again and again.

From Kodiak Island and Lake Clark National Park in the South to Denali National Park to the Brooks Range to Barter Island on the north coast, I have photographed all over Alaska. I have spent over 150 days during at least 15 trips there. I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface. More trips are in order.

Alaska Photography – Alaska Mountains and Glaciers and Alaska Wildlife

The United States purchased the Alaska territory from Russia in 1867 and it became the 49th state in 1959. Today, with a relatively small population of just over 700,000 Alaska is the largest state by area covering 665,384 square miles. Denali National Park is one of the main attractions for both tourism and photography in Alaska and is known for its wildlife.

Photographers travel many miles to capture pictures of Alaska’s magnificent mountains; the aurora light shows, giant glaciers, and the raw beauty of its wildlife….such as grizzly bears, the imposing Bull Moose, and majestic eagles.
