A small section of the coast on Edisto Island is where beach erosion has resulted in the remains of trees being on the beach. The beach is called Botany Bay. To get a good photograph, you have to be there an hour before sunrise when the tide is high and the winds are calm. Then you have to hope for the right cloud conditions to result in good sunrise color.
It was my plan to capture an image with two trees, and when the clouds lit up with just these two trees in the right place, I couldn't believe my good fortune.
