Pictures of Colorful Rainbows at Deserts, Lakes and Waterfalls

A rainbow landscape photography gallery by Joseph C. Filer of beautiful pictures of rainbows from the American Desert Southwest, Yosemite National Park and Iceland.

There have been songs written about the magic of rainbows such as “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” We have all driven about in a car in a quest to find the “end of the rainbow” with its pot of gold. There is a calming peace and sense of hope when seeing a beautiful rainbow that appears after the darkness of a storm. My rainbow photos capture the mystery and beauty of rainbows.

Rainbow landscape photographs are for sale as Limited Edition Luxury Fine Art Paper Prints, Chromaluxe ® Metal Prints, and non-glare TruLife ® Acrylic Prints. Frames and large-scale prints 8 feet or more in size are available.

Photographing Scenes With Beautiful Rainbows

Rainbows can last from a few minutes to longer than an hour which makes taking pictures of rainbows challenging. You cannot schedule a photo shoot of a rainbow or guarantee you will see one after a storm.

It is worth taking a photograph when the opportunity presents itself as the translucent band of bright colors arcing perfectly over the landscape creates a sense of a pathway from our world to the next – a sense of mystery and mystique. This gallery contains rainbow photos where I was fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time.
